U.S. Shipment Update - Customs Hold, Labeling Correction, and Next Steps

U.S. Shipment Update - Customs Hold, Labeling Correction, and Next Steps

U.S. shipments are temporarily paused due to a customs documentation issue. We have a clear resolution path and expect to resume shipments shortly. This update explains what happened, what we are doing to fix it, and where your order stands.

1. 🇺🇸 U.S. Batch Progress

Inventory staged and ready for U.S. dispatch.

We currently have 1,262 items ready to ship to the U.S.: 770 black BLEShark Nanos, 492 transparent BLEShark Nanos, and 348 silicone cases. All international orders have been fulfilled, and just under half of U.S. orders have shipped to date. Once the customs situation described below is resolved, U.S. shipments will resume in batches, with fulfillment updates issued as each batch is confirmed.

Current U.S.-ready inventory by SKU.

Please note: having inventory ready does not mean all units ship simultaneously. We process and dispatch in batches to maintain quality control and ensure each shipment is documented and declared correctly - particularly given the customs sensitivity outlined below.

Transparent units are still being produced to fulfill the full backlog of approximately 900 clear BLEShark Nanos. However, we currently hold a significant quantity of transparent units at our Canadian warehouse that may cover most of this backlog once transferred to our U.S. fulfillment partner - we are actively coordinating this with our 3PL. We will provide a clearer timeline on transparent unit fulfillment once that transfer is confirmed.

We do not fulfill by order number, but we prioritize the earliest-placed orders first - #1000 will be fulfilled before #6000.

2. ⚠️ U.S. Customs Hold

A recent U.S.-bound shipment was flagged by CBP for a documentation discrepancy on our end. The shipment consisted of 7 cartons in total. Upon CBP review, 3 of those cartons were detained for further examination, while the remaining 4 cleared without issue, were delivered to our U.S. fulfillment partner, and have since shipped to customers.

The detention was issued under standard CBP examination procedures. We were notified promptly and have been in active communication with CBP since. We have submitted the necessary documentation and are cooperating fully to resolve the held cartons as quickly as possible. CBP has up to 30 days to complete examination under standard procedure, though we are pushing for an earlier resolution and do not expect it to reach that threshold.

Delta between "Shipped to U.S." and "Held by U.S. CBP" represents quantity received and fulfilled by our U.S. 3PL.

The discrepancy that triggered the hold is isolated to this specific shipment and is correctable. It does not affect the physical product in any way - units are fully assembled, tested, and ready. The hold is purely a documentation matter.

In our previous update, we noted that order numbers between #2,000 and #3,500 would likely be fulfilled with this batch. Due to this hold, only a portion of those were fulfilled before the shipment was paused. We will post an update as soon as CBP responds.

3. 🗺️ Our Plan For U.S. Shipments

The documentation discrepancy is straightforward to correct on our end. Once CBP confirms resolution, the first batch will ship immediately. We are not waiting on manufacturing, parts, or third parties - the inventory is packed and ready. The only pending variable is CBP's confirmation.

Shipping in batches also allows us to catch and correct any issues before they affect the full remaining backlog.

4. 🏷️ Labeling Issue at 3PL

We recently identified that a small number of outbound parcels were shipped with incorrect barcodes. Specifically, transparent, white, blue, and purple units were labeled with the GTIN barcode assigned to the black BLEShark Nano.

All four units incorrectly labeled with the black BLEShark Nano GTIN.

The root cause was a parsing error in our testing jig script. This has been corrected and labels are being reprinted accordingly. If you believe your order may have been affected, please reach out and we will assist.

5. 🌍 International & Canadian Orders

Our Canadian warehouse currently holds approximately 900 transparent units and a substantial quantity of silicone cases. International fulfillment is unaffected by the U.S. customs situation. If you are outside the U.S., orders placed now will likely ship next business day.

Thank you for your understanding on this matter. We will keep you posted on the progress of our shipments and communications with CBP through our updates.

If you have any questions or concerns, our Discord server is the fastest way to reach us - response times are typically quick, and we have an active community there. You can also email us anytime at support@infishark.com, though response times there increase depending on volume.

I’m calling bullshit on this line of excuses at this point. My unit was suppossed to be delivered (DELIVERED) by the end September. That became October, then December, January. Now we’re in March and you’re bragging about how Blushark is no longer in preorder and now actively fullfilling incomming orders.
I want my money back, or my unity freaking delivered. I prefer the latter.
Thank you

Mark
