Lid Upgrade, Certifications Finalized, and More...

We've got a couple of updates to share with you. Let's get right into it!

1. 🔧 Updated Lid

The current BLEShark Nano lid leaves the four header pins exposed, which:

  • Collects dust over time, (not great visually)
  • Spark briefly if touched by something conductive (like a coin) - though the short protection circuit handles it safely

Since we haven’t begun case production yet, we’re taking this chance to improve the lid. The updated design adds a small roof over the pins - protecting them, improving durability, and giving the BLEShark Nano a cleaner look. Take a look:

Note: The "After" image is a render of the device.

And for those who prefer the real thing - here’s the 3D-printed version:

The mold will be updated shortly - it’ll take around 1-2 weeks. Even without this change, we would’ve waited the same amount of time to apply certification markings to the back of the device.

2. ✅ Certifications

We have great news - this will be the last time we post a certification update! The BLEShark Nano is now officially certified for the U.S, EU, and UK. For IC/ISED (Canada) and RCM (Australia/New Zealand), we will receive an official registration within the next couple of days.

If you are interested, you can check out our compliance website at https://compliance.infishark.com for certification documents.

3. 🔌 PCBs

Great news - the PCBs for US & Canada are going to arrive in 1-2 days. Feel free to join our Discord for photos when they come! PCB production for EU, UK, AU, and RoW orders will begin soon - hopefully within the next week, depending on how quickly the lead-free components arrive.

4. 🔐 Firmware Updates

We’ve been working hard behind the scenes on firmware improvements.

One recent change: we’ve replaced the complex 8-character random setup password (e.g. j*B&^l1') with a clean 8-digit pin (e.g. 283184) during setup. This makes onboarding smoother and avoids confusion from similar-looking characters (I, l, etc.).

This is just one of many refinements coming soon!

5. 📚 InfiShark Docs

We have updated our documentation site. Instead of re-directing to our GitHub wiki, we have moved it over to our own site at https://docs.infishark.com (we tried hard to make them beautiful).

As usual, feel free to join our Discord server to talk with us and our community!
