Kickstarter Surveys, Manufacturing, and Silicone Case Progress

Welcome to our very first blog post! We have a ton of exciting updates on BLEShark Nano, so let's dive right in. 

1. Kickstarter Surveys Launch in Three Days! ⚠️

Mark your calendars! If you have backed our Kickstarter campaign, the surveys to enter your address, pre-pay taxes, and order any additional add-ons are launching in just three days! 

2. Survey Updates & Tariff News

On the tariff side of things, there’s good news! Section 321 de minimis remains in place, allowing shipments under $800 USD to enter the U.S. duty-free. Since the BLEShark Nano (even in bundle deals of up to five units) remains well below $200 USD, you won’t have to pay any import tariffs if you are from the U.S.!

However, because this situation is volatile, we cannot guarantee that this will still be the case when you receive your device. If the de minimis threshold changes after we fulfill orders, you may be charged tariffs at the time of pickup.

3. Certifications

We’re thrilled to report that our certification testing samples are complete and have been shipped! This is a major milestone in getting BLEShark Nano ready for delivery. Once the certification process is finalized, we’ll share further details.

4. Silicone Cases

Great news! The silicone case samples have arrived, and they look and feel fantastic.

However, we noticed a small issue with the silicone case. When holding the BLEShark Nano with both hands and pressing the left or right button, your thumbs may press against the silicone case's edge. Since the edges aren't rounded, this can feel slightly irritating.

The good news is that we’ve already fixed the issue! Our manufacturer is updating the mold, which will be ready in just 10 days. This will not delay manufacturing or shipping!

5. T1 Injection Molding Samples

Our injection-molding samples have been shipped and are on their way! If they arrive quickly, we’ll share images of them in our next blog update as well as on our Discord server. Stay tuned!

6. Website Refresh

You might have noticed some small changes - our website has received a fresh new look! We hope you like the updated design.
