Kickstarter Orders Ship Soon! Final Assembly, Enclosure Production, and EU Update...
We’ve got a lot to cover in this exciting update - from production and shipping timelines to regulatory compliance and enclosure updates. Let’s dive in!
1. 🛠️ U.S. & Canadian Production Progress
We’re thrilled to share that all BLEShark Nano boards for U.S. and Canadian Kickstarter orders are fully assembled and tested! The only remaining step is to receive the final enclosures. Once they arrive - expected in just 1-2 weeks - we’ll begin shipping immediately.
Our goal is to ship all U.S. & Canadian Kickstarter orders before August 25th.
2. 🌍 EU/UK/AU/NZ/RoW - Production Progress
The reversed polarity issue with the IR LED has been fixed on all EU/International boards, and they’re arriving at our facility tomorrow. Once received, we’ll immediately begin assembly.
Timeline:
- Manufacturing time: ~2-4 weeks
- Shipping start: Late August to mid-September
3. 🧩 Enclosure Production
The wait is almost over! Our manufacturer confirmed that all enclosures (including silicone cases) will ship this Wednesday. Transit time is estimated at 3-5 business days, meaning we could have them in-hand as early as next week.
Once received, final assembly begins immediately - just screw on the case and drop it into the box.

4. 📘 User Manuals
All user manuals have arrived! They look good and feel high-quality, with a nice laminated finish. Take a look:
5. 📵 New EU-Based Regulation
As of August 1, a new cybersecurity regulation under the EU’s Radio Equipment Directive (RED) has taken effect. Among other things, it bans consumer products that can "harm the network or its functioning".
This unfortunately includes the "deauth" feature on the BLEShark Nano.
To ensure compliance and prevent customs blocks, we’ve removed the deauth tool from all EU-bound firmware. All other features remain unchanged.
This adjustment was mandatory to legally ship to the EU. We’re looking at solutions for advanced users, but for now, EU firmware must comply.
6. 🚚 What's Next - Shipping Starts Soon
This is the closest we’ve ever been. Once the enclosures arrive, shipping will begin immediately for U.S. and Canadian Kickstarter backers, and we’ll share another update as soon as it starts - it could be just a week away!
